1970s
A New Beginning
Our journey in construction began with my grandfather, a skilled carpenter, and my father, a civil engineer. In the 1970s, seeking better opportunities, my father moved to Bahrain, where my three brothers and I were born. Growing up around construction sites and heavy machinery, we developed a passion for the industry early on.
2000
A New Beginning in Canada
Our family immigrated to Canada, settling in Brampton. Despite his engineering background, my father had to start from scratch, launching a small renovation company. At 19, I took on my first job transforming a 6,000 sq ft office space, learning the importance of coordination and hands-on skills. However, payment challenges eventually forced my father to close the business and return to the Middle East.
2005-2010
Expanding into Real Estate
During this period, I ventured into real estate sales, honing my skills in selling and customer relations. My goal was always to combine real estate with construction, despite setbacks such as the merger of my real estate brokerage and a pivot to a retail career. My dream of becoming a developer remained strong.
2011
Entrepreneurial Expansion
In 2011, my brothers and I opened a convenience store in Woodstock, Ontario, which soon expanded into the gas station business. These ventures taught us the value of hard work and the importance of community connections.
2016
A Life-Changing Moment
A serious car accident prompted deep reflection on my purpose and ambitions. This turning point led me back to my roots, reigniting my dream of becoming a real estate developer. I began purchasing and renovating properties, turning them into profitable investments.
2021
Venturing into Earth-Moving Operations
After successfully managing residential renovations, I expanded into earth-moving operations to have better control over project timelines and resources, positioning AMZgroup for larger projects.
2022
Building an Infrastructure Crew
To further enhance our capabilities, we developed a dedicated infrastructure crew, earning a reputation for honesty, reliability, and high-quality work. This expansion allowed us to take on more complex projects and broaden our service offerings.
